Autumn Outing: November 3, 2024, Sunny🌤, Gentle Breeze.
Today, the whole research group went out for an autumn outing. We cooked hot pot and grilled meat together,
and some even enjoyed a meal provided by others. We played football and billiards with our teacher to hone our skills.
We played mahjong and arcade games with our peers, and some spent a long time practicing moves on the screen,
only to win three games and realize it was the computer playing. We sang karaoke with our fellow students and "Zhou Shen"
from Miao's group, and listened to the children sing "The Lone Warrior"; it's true what they say, children born after 2010
all seem to know how to sing "The Lone Warrior"!
Today, Dr. Bangsen Ouyang from Professor Yang Chai's research group at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University came to our group for an exchange, focusing on introducing the design and application of a wide-spectrum detector device inspired by salmon vision, which was recently published in the internationally renowned journal Nature Electronics.

Moyu Chen and Yongqin Xie published an important research progress entitled "Selective and quasi-continuous switching of ferroelectric Chern insulator devices for neuromorphic computing" in Nature Nanotechnology. The coexistence of electronic ferroelectricity and Chern insulators was observed, and a brain-like computing scheme for noise immunity was proposed and verified. By precisely controlling the amplitude of the gate voltage pulses, the research team was able to not only selectively nonvolatile switching between different Chen insulating states, but also achieved 1280 quasi-continuous ferroelectric states in the same device. Furthermore, the research team used the quantized conductance of the Chern insulator state as the weight to demonstrate for the first time the application potential of ferroelectric Chern insulator devices in convolutional neural networks with noise immunity characteristics. Congratulations to Chen Moyu and Xie Yongqin! Numerous academic and news media have conducted interviews and reports, includes:南京大学类脑智能
Junlin Xiong and Jiao Xie published an important research progress entitled "Electrical switching of Ising superconducting nonreciprocity for quantum neuronal transistor" in Nature Communications. A new type of Ising superconductivity-perpendicular magnetic anisotropic quantum material was constructed, the magnetic moment-dependent superconducting diode effect was observed, and the non-volatile electric control switch of the superconducting diode was realized under zero magnetic field. Furthermore, the team used this effect to construct a single quantum neuron transistor to simulate the neuronal XOR classification function in the cerebral cortex. This work provides a feasible technical route for the development of brain-inspired computing based on superconducting quantum materials. Congratulations to Junlin Xiong and Jiao Xie! Numerous academic and news media have conducted interviews and reports, includes:低维, 南京大学类脑智能
Today, teachers Tianming Yang and Qianli Yang from the Institute of Neurology came to the research group to exchange reports. The teachers and students in the group and the two teachers fully exchanged ideas on the theme of brain-like intelligence, and gradually built a bridge between bioneurology and advanced electronics. After the two teachers' reports, the two sides also had a heated discussion on specific topics, which played an important role in promoting the topics in the group.

Today, Professor Mu Yu from the Department of Neuroscience led a team to our group for a presentation and exchange.
Both students and teachers demonstrated a strong curiosity and enthusiastic interest in neuroscience, engaging in a series of intense discussions.
This exchange provided an opportunity for the collision of ideas from two cutting-edge disciplines,
laying the groundwork for potential cross-disciplinary integration of neuroscience and intelligent hardware in the future.
Teachers Yuekun Yang, Chen Pan and Yixiang Li from the research team published important research progress titled "In-sensor Dynamic Computing for Intelligent Machine Vision" in "Nature Electronics". This article proposes an in-sensor dynamic computing paradigm for the first time, achieves accurate extraction of weak target features in low-contrast optical scenes, and demonstrates high robustness, high-precision recognition and tracking capabilities for weak targets. Congratulations to Yuekun Yang, Chen Pan and Yixiang Li! This news is reported by NJU-Physics、Nanjing University
Yudi Dai and Junlin Xiong from the research group published important research progress titled "Interfacial magnetic spin Hall effect in van der Waals Fe3GeTe2/MoTe2 heterostructure" in "Nature Communications". This article theoretically proposes that the spin current dipole moment derived at the interface of the magnetic-topological heterojunction system can produce a time-reversal odd magnetic spin Hall effect, and experimentally constructed it using the "atomic Lego" method Fe3GeTe2/MoTe2 van der Waals heterojunction, a charge-spin conversion effect that depends on the direction of the magnetic moment is observed, The interfacial charge-spin conversion effect of spin inversion oddity was confirmed. The collaborative team further utilized the tunability and highly linear characteristics of the magnetic spin Hall effect to propose a new in-memory computing concept device and a binary neural network based on this as the basic unit, which provides a low-power low-power device based on spin electronics. The development of in-memory computing devices provides a new way of thinking. Congratulations to Yudi Dai and Junlin Xiong! This news is reported by Nanjing University
